HISTORY The brothers founded BaconBleu Films in 2004, after working for years in theatre and video production, as a one-stop-shop production company: Frank and John Henry write the scripts; hire the personnel; have or acquire the equipment; scout and organize locations; schedule the shoot; and use their personal post-production editing suite to complete the projects. |
BaconBleu Films works closely with photographer and cinematographer, Marco Gualtieri, director/writer/editor Brenna Farrell (Lakespur Productions, Inc.); graphics and animation artist and technician, JJ Shebesta (who is also a writer, comedian, sketch-comedy/improv artist, director, actor... the list goes on); graphic designer Emily Wilbur; and writer/director Noah J. Ehlert.
IN DEVELOPMENT
Along with Frank and John Henry's original screenplays, scripted tv ideas and promotion of their first feature-length documentary, BaconBleu Films is in development with Lakespur Productions, Inc. on a new documentary; a reality series with book author and model Frank Philbrick; and John Henry is collaborating on a web series for The Joe Randazzo Association.
VIDEO and RENTAL
BaconBleu Films also operates in video - actors'/directors' reels (shooting and editing); industrial/journalistic coverage; digital transfer; cutting tape together. And their equipment is for rent.
COMPLETED PROJECTS
TOGETHER FOREVER
Under the restrictions of the 48 Hour Film Festival, John Henry enlisted his brother to help write and then independently produced and directed in two days, as prescribed by the festival, a short "buddy film," no shorter than 4 minutes and no longer than 7 that had to incorporate a character named "Ethan/Ellie St John", a tennis ball, and the line, "Are you sure?" entitled, Together Forever.

THE TALK Coming to Terms with Sex in America
thetalkmovie.com
Four decades after the Sexual Revolution, sex is no longer hidden behind closed doors. But that doesn’t mean it’s an open topic at dinner tables across the country. Many of us find it as hard as ever to talk meaningfully about sex…especially to those who are most meaningful to us.
In THE TALK, forty-five ordinary Americans struggle to get at the heart of this enduring difficulty. A father regrets he couldn’t speak openly with his daughter. A new mother hopes sex will be less stigmatized for her son than it was for her. A sixty-year-old man wishes he’d had more sexual partners in his youth, while a fifteen-year-old girl pledges to remain abstinent until marriage.
What’s really at stake here? Filmmakers Brenna Farrell and John Henry Boudreaux traveled the country asking friends, family, and a few others they met along the way, to try to explain what sex means to their lives. This uniquely intimate documentary clears the way for a sometimes humorous, sometimes gut-wrenching conversation about the real consequences of sex. THE TALK proves we still have a lot to talk about.
